Competitions are open to anyone in East and South
Africa except the employees of SEACOM, their promotional and advertising
agencies, associated companies and their immediate family members.
By accepting these rules, entrants shall be
deemed to have granted to SEACOM a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free,
sublicenseable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute,
prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the entrant’s submission
in any media formats and through any media channels as well as to use,
reproduce, distribute, display and perform such submission as permitted
through the functionality of the Blogsite.
The entrant shall not submit material that is
copyrighted, protected by trade secret or otherwise subject to third party
proprietary rights protection and confirms that he/she is in possession of
the necessary permissions to use all patents, trademarks, trade secrets,
copyright or other proprietary rights in and relation to the his/her
submission.
Only one prize can be awarded per winner
unless otherwise stated.
The competition will run for a specified time
(1st October 2009- 11th December 2009) and could be
extended at the SEACOM's discretion.
Winners will be contacted within 7 days after
the competition end-date to arrange delivery of their prize.
Winners should allow 30 days for prize
delivery after winner announcement.
Should the winner not respond to their e-mail,
phone call or other forms of communication within 3 days, the prize will
be forfeited and given to the next runner-up.
The prize is not transferable.
Prize-winner, on acceptance of the prize, will
be featured on the SEACOM Blog and its affiliated social networks, namely
Twitter and Facebook profiles.
SEACOM shall have the right to terminate the
competition immediately and without notice. In the event of such
termination, all participants agree to waive any rights that they may have
in terms of this promotion and acknowledge that they will have no recourse
against SEACOM, its agents and promoters.
The judges’ decision is final and no
correspondence will be entered into.
Entering SEACOM competitions indicates
acceptance of all the above rules.
